Aftermarket-only.
By design.

Built by someone in the work for more than twenty years. Active Edge is a small Shopify agency that only builds for the automotive aftermarket and powersports. The person you talk to on the discovery call is the person who runs your build.

Two decades in the work.

I've been in the aftermarket for more than twenty years — back when most parts shops still ran on paper catalogs and a fax machine.

In 2013, I built my first dedicated online store for the brand I was running e-commerce for at the time. It worked. Sales scaled. The site became the team's most reliable salesperson. I kept building. After a decade in the work — running e-commerce for brands you'd recognize, and a couple I'd rather not put on a wall — the pattern was clear: most aftermarket shops kept getting handed broken sites by agencies that didn't know a leveling kit from a coilover.

I started Active Edge in 2022 to fix that. Same person you talk to on the discovery call is the person who shows up to your kickoff. I run the projects. I'm in the work daily.

AE-02 — Philosophy

One industry. By choice.

Active Edge has one rule: we only work in the automotive aftermarket and powersports. If a brand from outside this industry calls, we send them elsewhere.

This isn't a marketing position. It's a practical one. Aftermarket Shopify builds break in ways no general agency would predict — fitment data that doesn't import cleanly, distributor feeds that overwrite custom prices overnight, search ranking that fails the buyer who knows their truck but not their part number. None of that shows up in a Shopify portfolio for cosmetics or apparel.

We've worked through enough of those breaks to know where they live. That's the value of the rule — we cost less to onboard because we've already done the homework on this industry. And we don't bill hours fixing things that should never have shipped.

AE-03 — Team

Small team. By design.

Active Edge is intentionally small. I run every project directly. You're not getting handed to a junior account manager three weeks after kickoff. The discovery call, the kickoff, the build review — same person.

The team that comes into a project all comes from automotive e-commerce. Nobody who picks up a brief at Active Edge needs to learn what fitment data is or how a distributor feed works.

We run engagements three ways: project-based builds, retainer relationships for ongoing store management, and advisory work where we don't build but help your in-house team make the right call. Most clients start in one mode and stay there. A few graduate into another. The point is we don't sell a fixed package — we scope what your store actually needs.
